INGLESIDE – Firefighters won’t be testing their skills in South Stormont under a hot July sun this year.
The Ingleside Firefighter Challenge Committee has announced it will not be hosting the annual firefighter challenge this summer.
Instead, the Ingleside Firefighter’s Association will be celebrating 60 years since the creation of the South Stormont community with a celebration outside the Ingleside Shopping Plaza.
This will be the 12th year for a summer event that has “become somewhat of a homecoming weekend for many friends and family who no longer living in the area,” committee chairman Stacy Charlebois said.
The “exciting summer event” on Saturday, July 21, 2018 is free and will include a number of family-friendly activities, including inflatables, pony rides, a barbecue and a beer garden.
