Update 11:12 p.m. Sunday: The freezing rain warning has ended.
SD&G – A blanket of freezing rain is expected to hit SD&G Sunday afternoon and continue into Sunday night.
Environment Canada issued a freezing rain warning this afternoon (Saturday) at 1:46 p.m. calling for another round of snow on Sunday morning, which would be mixed with ice pellets Sunday afternoon.
Roughly 2-5 centimeters (0.8-2.0 inches) accumulation is expected before the weather switches over to freezing rain in the afternoon.
It should be around for several hours before tapering off Sunday night and turning back to light snow.
The weather agency says travel conditions may be hazardous.
