CORNWALL – A city survey is now online to gather your feedback on where Locomotive #17 should be moved to, if at all.
It’s part of a $100,000 refurbishment plan, approved last year, for the historic locomotive, which sits at the corner of Brookdale Avenue and Ninth Street. Council approved the first $85,000 in November to be spent on the project.
The survey proposes two locations. One is the southwest corner of Water Street and Newsy Lalonde Way – the west entrance to the civic complex. The other is west of the parking lot next to the French monument on Water Street (across from the former CJSS building).
The two proposed locations are near the original site of the Cornwall Street Railway train yard.
Participants can also suggest another location or say they don’t support the project.

The survey is open until Feb. 21.
