SD&G – After a significant amount of rain and unseasonably mild weather, things are about to turn white again across SD&G.
Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for the region around 4:30 a.m. Friday morning.
It says a cold front will pass through the region late this afternoon and the fog and rain may change over to a brief period of freezing rain before it changes to snow tonight.
The wind is also expected to pick up, gusting to 50 kilometers an hour at times, leading to local blowing snow in some areas.
Roughly 15-20 centimeters (6-8 inches) is expected to fall by midday Saturday and the snowfall is expected to be heavy at times.
