Cornwall police officer spots pair wanted in Niagara and York regions

CORNWALL – An eagle-eyed Cornwall police officer is credited with spotting a couple of men from Cornwall who are wanted in two other jurisdictions.

The off-duty officer called it in as they were at a Brookdale Avenue store on Saturday (Dec. 23).

Both men were arrested, where arresting officers found an illegal knife, cocaine and a bunch of cash.

Investigators say both the 22-year-old men are known to police and wanted by Niagara Regional Police and York Regional Police. One of the men is also wanted by the O.P.P.

The men are facing a number of drugs and weapons-related charges.
