Arson charge laid in Rotary Lane car fire

CORNWALL – A man from the Montreal area is facing a charge of arson after police allege he set fire to his own car in Cornwall this summer.

The 48-year-old turned himself into police headquarters on Tuesday (Dec. 12) after a police investigation.

The vehicle was torched on June 20, 2017 after it was parked on Rotary Lane.

The man from Mascouche, Que., an off-island suburb of Montreal, will appear in a Cornwall court Jan. 18, 2018.
