MORRISBURG – For a third time in the council term, a senior manager with South Dundas has made an unexplained exit.

CAO Shannon Geraghty told the Morrisburg Leader, the municipality and public works director Chris Bazinet “have mutually parted ways” but didn’t provide any further details.

It was made official Monday (Aug. 28).

Bazinet had been on the South Dundas payroll since April 2013.

This is the third manager to leave since the 2014 municipal election.

In March 2016, then Fire Chief Chris McDonough tendered his resignation after a seven week leave of absence. In July 2015, former CAO Stephen McDonald and the municipality “mutually parted ways.”
