CURRY HILL – Provincial police have identified the victim in Monday afternoon’s pileup on Highway 401 near the Quebec border.

Police say Kimberly Oosting, 32, of Riviere-Beaudette, Que. died after her vehicle was involved in a pileup in the westbound lanes involving four vehicles and two tractor-trailers.

Five other people were taken to area hospitals and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the crash was triggered after a tractor-trailer collided with a passenger vehicle, sending it into other vehicles in the westbound lanes.

A section of Highway 401 was closed for most of Monday afternoon and evening but has since reopened.
