CORNWALL – City police say charges are pending in a crash on Pitt Street which jammed up traffic on a railway overpass Thursday afternoon.
The three vehicle crash happened around 3 p.m. on Pitt Street North near the Balmoral Avenue-Emma Avenue intersection.
Exactly what transpired was not available as the investigating officer is off-duty today (Friday) and a report had not been filed with the police station, Const. Dan Cloutier told Cornwall Newswatch.
One of the vehicles had extensive front-end damage.
The condition of the victims and how many victims there were is also not known.
However, Cloutier said charges are pending as they continue an investigation.
The crash on the Pitt Street CN overpass, forced the shutdown of a section of Pitt Street from Emma Avenue-Balmoral Avenue to Tollgate Road, for a while late Thursday afternoon.
