Jays’ Alomar coming to Cornwall

CORNWALL – Former Toronto Blue Jays player Roberto Alomar will be coming to Cornwall on Saturday (July 22).

Alomar is helping Rogers with the opening of their new retail store on Brookdale Avenue, south of Thirteenth Street.

He will be at the 1225 Brookdale Avenue location from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. taking pictures and signing autographs with fans.

The event is also a fundraiser for the Children’s Treatment Center as Rogers is donating $10 for every autograph.

Alomar, part of the World Series winning team in 1992 and 1993, was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2011.

The Toronto Blue Jays are owned by Rogers Communications.
