Police addressing Post Road speeding

(Newswatch Group/Bill Kingston, File)

SOUTH STORMONT – Police will be paying particular attention to County Road 36, also known as Post Road, in the coming weeks.

SD&G O.P.P. say they’ve been receiving a lot of complaints lately about aggressive drivers on the stretch of road, west of St. Andrews West to Long Sault.

Officers will be setting up radar in the area to catch speeders.

The O.P.P. says speeding and aggressive driving remain the leading cause of road deaths on roads patrolled by them.

It should be an easy route to patrol – the SD&G O.P.P. detachment is at the end of County Road 36.
