LONG SAULT – Provincial police have identified the victims in this morning’s crash on Highway 401, east of Moulinette Road.

SD&G O.P.P. say a Ford Focus collided with GMC Savanna van in the westbound lanes around 7 a.m., causing the van to lose control and roll over while the car landed in the median.

The driver of the van – 32-year-old Kristine Cadieux of Cornwall – died at the scene. Her male passenger, a 50-year-old Cornwall man, was taken to hospital by paramedics with non-life threatening injuries.

The man driving the car – a 20-year-old from St. Hubert, Que. – has minor injuries, police said.

A section of the westbound lanes from Long Sault to Cornwall, closed since this morning, has opened.

A police investigation continues.

Cadieux was co-owner of KayTee’s Cluttered Attic – a designer of handmade signs and home décor.

“With a heavy heart, I am sad to let you all know that we have lost a great woman today,” business partner Teri-Lynn Leroux said in a Facebook post.

“We are so blessed for all the love that we have received from all of you in the short time that we have started out our little business and ask for your thoughts, sympathies and prayers for her family and friends,” Leroux wrote.
