CORNWALL – The trial for a financial adviser, formally of Cornwall, will continue through late August.
A Supreme Court of Justice trial for Gilles Saucier started in early May for eight days and then adjourned in order to find more court dates.
The trial will continue July 4-6, Aug. 10-11 and Aug. 30-31.
Saucier was originally facing 33 fraud, breach of trust, uttering forged documents and theft by conversation charges.
The 56-year-old stands accused of defrauding investors of thousands of dollars while he was president of Gilden Financial Solutions Corporation in Cornwall.
Now living in Brampton, Ont., Saucier was further charged with more fraud-related offences in October 2016 following a year-long investigation by the Ottawa unit of the O.P.P. Anti-Rackets Branch, Economic Crime and Corruption division.
