Section of Highway 138 closed for two days

MONKLAND – If you take Highway 138 for your daily travels you will have to plan for some extra time the next few days.

A section of the highway from Monkland to Moose Creek will be closed, starting tomorrow (June 13) at 7 a.m.

The section of road from County Road 43 (Monkland) to County Road 15 (McLean Road/Moose Creek) will be off-limits to traffic until Thursday (June 15) at 6 p.m.

The Ontario Ministry of Transportation says the two-lane highway is shuttered for maintenance.

CP Rail is doing scheduled railway crossing maintenance in the area.

Detours will be in place.

Highway 138 is the major connecting link between Highway 401 and Highway 417.
