Severe thunderstorm watch for SD&G

Update 9:51 p.m. – all watches and warnings have ended for SD&G.

Update 9:28 p.m. – warnings have ended. Severe thunderstorm watches are still in effect for SD&G.

Update 8:21 p.m. – severe thunderstorm warning in effect for Maxville, Alexandria, Morrisburg, Long Sault, Winchester and Newington.

SD&G – The region could see some active weather tonight which could produce some severe thunderstorms.

Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch at 4 p.m. for SD&G.

It says scattered storms, capable to producing damaging winds and hail, will move across the region tonight.

After reaching 21 degrees today, we’re expected to drop to a low of 12 tonight and then a high of 21 Wednesday with more showers and thunderstorms.
