Grow-op dismantled near Lancaster

LANCASTER – Provincial police have taken down a marijuana growing operation in South Glengarry with the arrest of a Lancaster man.

Various enforcement agencies with the O.P.P. searched a home on Arlington Road on Wednesday and seized “a large quantity” of marijuana, as well as cannabis resin and growing equipment.

The drugs seized are said to be worth about $70,000.

A 45-year-old South Glengarry man has been charged with drug possession and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused will appear in an Alexandria court in June.
