GANANOQUE – A Cornwall man is among two people dead after a head-on crash on County Road 2, west of here.
Leeds County O.P.P. say an eastbound pickup truck collided with a westbound car around 2 p.m. Friday (Feb. 10) on a stretch of the highway about six kilometers west of the town.
The driver of the car – a 58-year-old man from Cornwall – died at the scene. His passenger, an 85-year-old man from Frontenac Islands, was taken to hospital but later died of his injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck – a 59-year-old woman from Gananoque – was taken to hospital in Kingston and is suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
No names have been released until relatives are notified.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
