WINCHESTER – A woman has been killed after her vehicle rolled on County Road 3, northeast of Winchester, this morning (Saturday).
SD&G O.P.P. were called to the scene around 10 a.m., near North Wing Road, for a Dodge pickup truck that had rolled in the ditch.
Police say the driver was travelling south on County Road 3 when, for some reason, she lost control and rolled in the ditch.
The Morewood Fire Department was on the scene to extricate the driver, who was later pronounced dead at hospital.
She’s been identified as Louise Hoogsteen, 57, of Russell, Ont.
A section of County Road 3 was closed this morning but has since reopened.
This marks SD&G’s first road fatality of 2017.
