WIARTON, Ont. – It looks like spring is just around the corner, according to the majority of three prognosticating rodents.
Wiarton Willie and Nova Scotia’s Shubenacadie Sam emerged from their burrows this Groundhog Day and did not see their shadows.
According to folklore, that means an early spring.
The odd groundhog out was Punxsutawney Phil, who did see his shadow, predicting another six weeks of winter.
