CORNWALL – There’s a lot of happy women hockey players at Cornwall’s St. Lawrence College today.

The SLC Cornwall Sharks women’s hockey team took the championship game 5-1 over Durham College on Friday at the Fleming College Invitational.

This is the third year in a row Cornwall has been victorious at the tournament.

The team had wins over Georgian College, Humber College and Seneca College to get to the championship game.

“The girls played great all day,” former Sharks men’s hockey goalie and now coach, Ryan Cooper said. “It didn’t take long for the chemistry to build with the girls. They didn’t panic when we got behind on the scoreboard.”

The Sharks are back on the ice in Ottawa on Feb. 2, 2017 for the La Cite college invitational.
