CORNWALL – Cornwall City Council will have a relatively light agenda for tonight’s (Monday) meeting.
City councillors will look at approving a temporary street closure for a portion of Pitt Street on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017 for Cornwall Food Fest and Kinsmen in Motion.
Council is also expected to approve a $23,055 contract for Marlin Orchards and Garden Center to provide bedding plants, flower baskets, shrubs and planting material for the 2017 season.
There were two bidders (the higher bidder was from Codrington, Ont.) and the city had allotted $30,500 in the budget for the supplies.
The city also has a number of housekeeping items, including finalizing an agreement with the South Nation Conservation Authority to do septic inspections in the city and a short-term lease with Cornwall Square for a Heritage Fair display this year.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at city hall.
