CORNWALL – A group of 16 residents from Cornwall, South Stormont and South Dundas are celebrating an early Christmas present — $100,000!

The group matched six of seven numbers on Encore during the Aug. 12, 2016 Lotto Max draw.

The winners were: Audrey Helmer of Long Sault, Araceli Cameron of Cornwall, Avril Manson of Cornwall, Bonnie Brisbois of Long Sault, Cindy Woods of Lunenburg, John MacMillan of Cornwall, Judy Godard of Cornwall, Kelly MacDonald of Ingleside, Lisa Hart of Cornwall, Megan Langstaff of Long Sault, Monique Stewart of Cornwall, Patricia Tibben of Williamsburg, Rebecca Forward of Long Sault, Sarah LePage of Cornwall, Sherry Cameron of St. Andrews and Stephanie Coleman of Cornwall.

According to OLG spokeswoman Galit Solomon, the group was given an opportunity to share their story but chose not to do so.

It’s not known what the relationship is between the 16 people, though Cornwall Newswatch has learned some of the winners are employees at Your Credit Union in Cornwall.

The lottery ticket was bought at the Quickie convenience store on Fourteenth Street in Cornwall.
