Cruisers stuffed for food banks

SD&G – A one day food drive by the SD&G O.P.P. Auxiliary Unit has brought in 5,900 pounds (2,676 kilograms) of food and over $3,000 in cash donations.

The annual “Stuff a Cruiser” event leading up to Christmas was held at various stores in Ingleside, Winchester, Iroquois, Morrisburg and Alexandria on Saturday (Nov. 12).

The biggest donations by weight came from Dundas while the largest cash donations came from Glengarry.

The donations from the food drive are going to respective food banks in those areas.

Organizers are calling the drive a “huge success.”
