Charges laid in Winchester armed robbery

WINCHESTER – A teenage boy from North Dundas has been charged in connection to an armed robbery in the parking lot of a Winchester bank on Wednesday (Nov. 2).

Officers arrested a 16-year-old on Friday (Nov. 5) and charged him with robbery with a firearm, wearing a disguise with intent to commit an offence, possession of a dangerous weapon and assault.

His name is not being released because he’s a minor.

A man was hit and then robbed outside the RBC Royal Bank on Main Street in Winchester on Wednesday afternoon.

The crime prompted a brief lockdown of Winchester Public School.
