LONG SAULT – A Longue Sault Public School phys-ed teacher is making an epic running journey to honour the memory of Terry Fox.
Ian Callan set out from Williamstown Public School at 6 a.m. this morning (Friday) as he runs to Ottawa.
He’s expected to reach the nation’s capital at the Terry Fox Memorial Statue at 2 a.m. Saturday.
“The run is also a bid to show Upper Canada District School Board students the joy of challenging personal limits, and has been organized as an early celebration of Canada’s Sesquicentennial,” the school board said in a statement.
Callan will be collecting pledges for the Terry Fox Foundation along the way.
