SD&G – Two drivers had their vehicles impounded over the weekend after they were caught rocketing down regional roads in SD&G.

The first driver from the Rockland-area was stopped on County Road 31 in North Dundas on Saturday night after an officer caught a vehicle on radar at 134 kilometers an hour in an 80 zone.

The second from Newington was stopped around 3 a.m. Sunday on North Lunenburg Road, cruising alone at 133 kilometers an hour in an 80 zone.

Both drivers, who are men in their early 20s, had their vehicles impounded for a week and their driver’s licences suspended for seven days under Ontario’s street racing law.
