SD&G — Two areas of SD&G will be featuring outdoor movies this weekend – one in a park, the other at a drive-in.

Cornwall’s Arts in the Park will be showing “Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Road Chip” once it’s dark in Lamoureux Park (around 8:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.) Saturday night (July 16).

“The outdoor movie night has become a popular part of our Arts in the Park series,” said Lorne Taillon, Leisure Arts Coordinator. “It’s a great way for families to enjoy our waterfront park and spend some quality time together during the summer holidays.”

Food vendors will be on site selling food and drinks, and the civic complex washrooms will remain open for the duration of the movie.

In North Dundas, the Dundas Drive-in will happen at the South Mountain Fair Grounds at 2967 Lough Road.

It’s being put on by the municipalities of North Dundas and South Dundas and their respective recreation departments.

The movie “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is $5 cash per person (there’s no ATM on site).

Gates open at 7 p.m. Saturday and the movie shows at 9 p.m. and there will be a well-stocked concession stand.
