Fire damages Anderson Drive home

CORNWALL – An east end home has extensive damage after a fire Monday night.

Cornwall firefighters, paramedics and police were called to 405 Anderson Drive around 9:45 p.m. after someone spotted smoke billowing out of a carport.

Platoon Chief Steven O’Reilly told Cornwall Newswatch there’s extensive damage to the basement and the main level of the home.

A fire prevention officer will be investigating to determine a cause.

There was no one in the house at the time of the fire and O’Reilly said there were no injuries.
