CORNWALL/SOUTH GLENGARRY – The donation of a used transit bus will come as a big plus for training firefighters in South Glengarry.

Members of the City of Cornwall and Cornwall Transit donated the bus, which is at the end of its life.

It will be used by South Glengarry firefighters for extrication training and rescue exercises in their training programs.

“We gratefully accept this bus donation from Cornwall Transit, as it will add to our training program and thus the emergency preparedness of our department,” Acting Fire Chief Dave Robertson said.

“We also thank Gator Recycling in Alexandria for their assistance in transporting this equipment, something they have often done in the past.”
