Man arrested trying to withdraw money at Cornwall bank

CORNWALL – A Quebec man has been caught red-handed trying to withdraw money from a local bank while posing as someone else.

Cornwall police were called to the bank Monday by an employee after a man used documents to identify himself as someone else while trying to take out money.

A 39-year-old man from Longueuil, Que. was arrested at the scene and charged with identity fraud, attempted fraud and uttering forged documents.

He was held for a bail hearing in a Cornwall court.
