CORNWALL – A local radiothon has raised just over $116,000 for the Cornwall Hospital Foundation to support mental health services in SD&G and Akwesasne.
The final total after the 13-hour Corus Caring Hearts Radiothon on boom 101.9 and 104.5 Fresh Radio was $116,320.10.
The fundraising dollars are going toward integrating addiction and mental health services in the community.
The building housing these services, at the corner of Marleau Avenue and McConnell Avenue, is under construction and slated to open this fall.
This was the 10th anniversary for the event.
