CORNWALL – After months of having to detour on Seymour Avenue or Cumberland Street, motorists can head down Brookdale Avenue, south of Second Street.
The section of road opened to traffic today (March 30, 2016) after American Bridge Canada completed its work at dismantling the supports for the old north channel bridge along that section of road.
Motorists have had to contend with various closures of Brookdale Avenue and Second Street West since May 2015 when the bridge dismantling got started in earnest.
The southbound lanes from Second to Water have been closed since the summer.
