
CORNWALL – A Cornwall man is facing a number of assault-related charges after a confrontation with his mother and another man on Easter Sunday.
City police were called to a Louisa Street home where a drunken man is said to have pushed his mother and tried to hit an 18-year-old with a bat.
After smashing the house walls, the man is accused of breaking a neighbour’s light posts.
A 20-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, mischief and three counts of breaking probation orders to keep the peace.
The man’s name was not released to protect the victims.
