Meth, pot seized in North Stormont traffic stop

NORTH STORMONT – A Quebec man is facing drug-related charges after a traffic stop on Highway 417 Saturday night (March 26).

SD&G O.P.P. were running a RIDE spot check on an off-ramp in North Stormont around 10 p.m.

During a stop, they found suspected methamphetamine pills and marijuana in a vehicle.

The driver, a 23-year-old man from Gatineau, Que., is charged with drug possession and possession for the purpose of trafficking in marijuana.

He was released with a promise to appear in a Cornwall court in May.
