KEMPTVILLE – A Cornwall construction firm will be building Kemptville’s new public school.
The Upper Canada District School Board announced that Bourgon Construction is the general contractor to build the Kemptville Public School.
Bourgon was one of six bidders for the $13.3 million contract.
The company is no stranger to building schools, having worked on the Central Public School and the Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute buildings.
Bourgon is also building Cornwall’s new elementary school – Bridgewood Public.
Construction of the Kemptville Public School, to replace the 1950s building on Reuben Crescent, will begin shortly with construction completed by January 2018.
