SOUTH GLENGARRY – Three people from Toronto are facing drug trafficking charges and it’s all the result of speeding.

A lead-footed driver caught the attention of SD&G O.P.P. on Tuesday afternoon (March 8) on Highway 401, east of Cornwall.

When the officer stopped the vehicle, they found marjiuana, cocaine, liquid codeine, Xanax and Percocet pills.

The 23-year-old male driver and two passengers – a 24-year-old man and 19-year-old woman – were arrested and charged with drug possession and four counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

They were later released with a promise to appear in an Alexandria court in May.
