LANCASTER – Poor road conditions and a series of crashes closed a stretch of westbound Highway 401 near Lancaster this morning (Saturday).
The O.P.P. closed the section of road between County Road 2 and Fraser Road after a number of crashes.
There is a combination of light falling snow and wet roads, coupled with temperatures near freezing.
The South Glengarry Fire Service tweeted that there were poor road conditions and to avoid the area.
