Possible flooding in parts of SD&G

SD&G – With temperatures above freezing and rain in the forecast, portions of Dundas and Stormont counties could experience some flooding in low-lying areas.

The South Nation Conservation Authority issued an advisory Friday, cautioning people to stay away from rivers and other streams as levels are expected to rise with the melting snow.

Temperatures are expected to be more seasonal later next week so the conservation authority doesn’t expect severe flooding to be a concern.

The Weather Network is calling for 5-10 millimeters (0.19-0.39 inches) of rain Sunday and another millimeter (0.03 inches) of rain on Monday.
