AKWESASNE – The heart of the three nations in Akwesasne will be celebrated on – appropriately enough – Valentine’s Day.

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne and the winter carnival committee are holding the Friends of the River Forum on Feb. 14 at the Turtle Dome on Cornwall Island.

The MCA has extended an invitation to people from Cornwall to join the event, which runs from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The forum, which is free, will feature presentations and exhibits focusing on a variety or river-related prpgrams, as well as information on aquatic and wildlife in and around the St. Lawrence River.
