SD&G – It’s a chance for SD&G residents to have a say on the upcoming Ontario budget.
Local MPP Jim McDonell will be holding public consultation meetings next month in Morrisburg and Cornwall, collecting information to share with Finance Minister Charles Sousa.
The two pre-budget consultation meetings will be held Feb. 9 at the following locations:
- Morrisburg – McIntosh Country Inn – 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
- Cornwall – Ramada Cornwall – noon to 2 p.m.
While the province’s finance committee is holding hearings in larger centers, McDonell felt it was important to have people in SD&G give feedback.

The Ontario budget is typically delivered in April, shortly after the province’s financial cycle starts on April 1.
