
CORNWALL – A Cornwall man is facing numerous criminal charges after leading city police on a chase.
Cornwall police say the man took off in a stolen vehicle on Monday after an officer spotted him in the area of Marlborough Street and Victoria Avenue.
While making his getaway, the perpetrator crashed into another vehicle, forcing it to slam into a porch of a home on Gloucester Street.
After the crash, the accused then ran but cops were able to nab him a short distance away.
The 48-year-old is charged with vehicle theft, flight from police, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace.
