Cornwall Colts blank Rangers

CORNWALL – The Cornwall Colts were well rested over the Christmas break, starting their 2016 action with an 8-0 shutout of the Gloucester Rangers.

Grant Cooper had a five point game including a hat trick.

Also scoring for Cornwall were Lawson MacDougall with a pair and singles from Nick Lalonde, Ross Craig and Keegan Mulhearn.

The Colts outshot the Rangers 46-28 and now stand at 22-17-2-1 – seventh overall in the CCHL conference (fifth in the Robinson Division).

They host top-placed Carleton Place Thursday night at 7 p.m.
