CORNWALL – Just over 1,100 teddy bears were tossed on the ice of the Ed Lumley Arena Saturday night for the annual Sparky’s Toy Drive.

The third annual Teddy Toss, which organizers are calling a huge success, brought in a final tally of 1,114 bears and more than $500 in donations.

Despite a third period comeback, Cornwall wasn’t able to beat the St-Georges Cool FM, dropping a 5-4 decision in overtime.

There were just over 900 people in the stands for the game.
