CORNWALL – With no snow on the ground it may not be the first thing that comes to mind.

As you head out to your Christmas parties and socials, this is the first weekend since a winter overnight parking went into effect.

The winter restriction started on Tuesday (Dec.15) where there’s no overnight parking allowed between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m.

There are some commercial areas and municipal parking lots where you’re able to park until 2 a.m.

If you get caught, it’s a $25 ticket.

The restriction will be in place until March 31 with a trial run of easing the restrictions in the month of March, based on the amount of snow and the weather.
