
SOUTH MOUNTAIN – Provincial police caught a pair of would-be robbers red-handed here Tuesday morning.
Several O.P.P. agencies, including the canine unit, were called after some suspicious activity on Main Street.
Investigators said a man and woman were targeting a commercial property when they were “intercepted.”
A 51-year-old man from North Dundas is charged with attempted robbery, conspiracy, wearing a disguise with the intent to commit a robbery and failing to comply with a probation order.
A 29-year-old woman, also from North Dundas, is charged with attempted robbery and conspiracy.
Both were held and were appearing in a Cornwall court today (Wednesday).
