MORRISBURG – Hundreds lined the streets during a mostly cloudy Saturday afternoon for the Morrisburg Santa Claus Parade.
Almost like an epiphany, the clouds broke and the sun shone down on Father Christmas as his float headed up Main Street toward the end of the parade.
Roughly 50 floats were in this year’s spectacle, which is 22 years in the running.
The parade followed its traditional route, starting at St. Lawrence and Fifth Street and going through town, ending up on Main Street at the plaza and then heading to the fire station.
Students from Morrisburg Public School were also collecting non-perishable food items in shopping carts along the route for the Dundas County Food Bank.
