Colts mauled by Bears

CORNWALL – The Cornwall Colts were a paper shirt in a bear fight, losing 4-1 to Smiths Falls Thursday night.

The Bears outshot Cornwall 36-25 and scored on an empty net in the final second to seal the victory.

Lawson MacDonald scored the lone goal for the Colts on a power play late in the third.

The two teams finish out a home-and-home series tonight (Friday) in Smiths Falls at 7:30 p.m.

Over 300 students from La Citadelle high school were in the stands for the second annual Colts High School Challenge.

The area high schools are competing for a chance to win 300 tickets to a Colts game.
