Home winning streak snapped for River Kings

CORNWALL – The Cornwall River Kings had their home winning streak snapped as the Riviere-du-Loup 3L doubled up on Cornwall 6-3.

Riviere-du-Loup scored four unanswered goals in the third period with rookie Jean-Christophe Laflamme potting the winning goal.

Scoring for Cornwall were J.P. Caron, Nicolas Larocque-Marcoux and Sy Nutkevitch.

Surprisingly, Cornwall had outshot 3L 41-35.

On the road, Friday, Cornwall lost to the Jonquiere Marquis 5-1.

Meanwhile, in trade news, the Kings added defenceman Casey Fazekas, 27, from Thetford in exchange for a draft pick.
