SD&G – Now that’s something to toast!
The United Way Holiday Wine & Gourmet Tastings event Saturday night at Nav Center raised over $48,000 for the campaign.
Committee spokeswoman Angie Baker told Cornwall Newswatch some money is still trickling but the total is at least $48,296.
Nearly 500 people attended the event Nov. 21, which combined wines with live music, desserts and silent auction.
Organizers were hoping to reach $50,000.
The United Way is working toward its $710,000 goal, with the campaign expected to wrap up Dec. 18.
