CORNWALL – The St. Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Sciences has a new tool to help with work under the water.
The institute recently purchased a high-definition GPS and chart plotter unit with side scan sonar as well as an underwater GoPro camera.
The money came from the TD Canada Trust Friends of the Environment.
The two units will be used for research projects, such as fish behaviour, population monitoring and rehabilitation work, as well as training on the St. Lawrence River.
